Apostolou, Anne Baldwin 93, loving wife of George E. Baldwin, died Tuesday, January
20, 2009, peacefully at her home, Worthington Christian Village in Columbus, OH. Anne was born on June 30, 1915 in Gardnertown, NY. She lived in Newburgh, NY most of her life and was a dental hygienist in her professional life. She was a
member of the Greek Orthodox Church and Middlehope Methodist Church. In retirement, she moved to Ft. Myers and then Lakeland, FL and eventually moved to Columbus, OH to be closer to her family. She will be missed by her family and
friends who loved her dearly. Anne's passion was her family. She lived her life to the fullest, with a zest for life, determination and feistiness as she showed when she drove cross-country to marry, George, the love of her life. Anne was
the ultimate family woman who cherished spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was generous, giving, genuine, faithful and humble. She loved spending summers at the shore with her
family, eating lobsters with everyone, spoiling her grandchildren and laughing while recalling old stories. She enjoyed and was an accomplished cook, particularly with Greek cuisine, seamstress, quilter and card player. Besides
her loving husband of 68 years, she leaves behind three daughters, Marie Gerhardt and her husband, Richard of Circleville, OH; Barbara Lopinot and her husband, Harold of Newburgh, NY and Andrea Michael and her husband, Tom of
Columbus, OH; five grandchildren, Christine (Lopinot) Melagrano and her husband Pete; Kara (Gerhardt) Ross and her husband, Jim; Richard Gerhardt and his wife, Lisa; James Lopinot and Nicholas Michael. She also left six great-grandchildren,
Lindsey and Lauren Melagrano, Ethan and Noah Gerhardt, and Alexa and Aedan Ross. In addition, she leaves behind one sister Marian (Apostolou) Baldwin and her husband, Jack. A Memorial Service for friends and family will be held in the
chapel at Worthington Christian Village on Sunday, January 25, at 2 p.m. (According to NFA records Anne graduated in June 1933)

Cathcart, Marie E. of New Windsor, entered into rest on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at
New Windsor Country Inn in New Windsor. She was 98 years old. The daughter of the late Harry and Leona Doerr Cathcart, she was born August 2, 1915 in Newburgh. Marie was a 1933 graduate of Newburgh Free Academy and entered St.
Luke’s School of Nursing, graduating in 1936. Following her graduation, she did private duty nursing and then worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh and St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City. She later went on to N.Y.U. and became a
Public Health Nurse for the City of Newburgh, which was later taken over by Orange County and retired from there. She was a member of the St. Luke’s Nurse’s Alumni Association and Moulton Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member of
the Beta Eta Class. She is survived by her sister Norma Weygant and her children Gary Weygant of NJ, Kristie Weygant of VA and Cathy Earisman of VT; her nephew Jack Burger and niece Joan Foster both of Newburgh; also many great nieces and
great nephews. In addition to her parents, Marie was also predeceased by her sister Evelyn L. Burger and her brother-in-law George F. Weygant. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 pm on Friday, May 30 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney
Ave., Newburgh. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Derrick Lopez will be held at 2 pm following visitation. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor. The family wishes to express their gratitude to New Windsor Country

Comstock, Emma-Lou "Pat" Hamilton passed away on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the age of 98. Born in Stuyvesant on
July 24, 1916, she was the daughter of Morris and Jessie Comstock. She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1933 and attended Albany State Teachers College (now the University at Albany). In 1938, she moved to New Baltimore and began
working for the State of New York. She retired in 1978 as a senior research analyst with the division of parole. She also served in the United States Navy during World War II. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and
served in many offices and capacities with the Grace United Methodist Church in Ravena. She was also active in the Seraneco chapter of the National Federation of Business & Professional Women's Clubs. Emma-Lou married Harry "Sunny"
Hamilton in 1948 and they had been married for 50 years when he predeceased her in 1998. She was also predeceased by a sister, Helen Comstock Beemer and brother, William Comstock. Emma-Lou is survived by two sons, Henry (Dee)
Hamilton of Albany and Gordon (Pat) Hamilton of Pottersville; a daughter, Jane Waldron of Purling; grandchildren, Matthew Hamilton, Michael Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Melissa Hamilton, Miles Hamilton, Greg Corcione, Jennifer Stevens, Lyn
Farrell, Jessie Mabee, Andrew Hamilton, Amy Staley, Kelly Cuti and CarrieAnn Waldron. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as sister-in-law, Kathy Porter and many nieces

Constantine, John Mitchell Sr took the hand of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 21, 2010, at his home in Mahwah, NJ. John was 95. A
60 year Mahwah resident, John was born in Newburgh, NY on March 7, 1915, the son of Greek immigrants from the islands of Lemnos and Hydrra. As a youngster, John and his older brother Pete, budding Engineers, developed an interest in radios
and built and operated crystal radio sets; John was one of the earliest licensed radio operators in Newburgh, NY, with ham license number W2FFS. As a teenager and young man, John worked as a waiter in his father's restaurant, The Alps, in
Newburgh until it closed during The Great Depression. John attended RPI-Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY, graduating as a member of the class 1938 earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and later, a
Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. During World War II, John worked for Bendix Corporation in Teterboro, NJ, designing electric motors for the war effort; later, he was
General Manager of Anco Products in Paterson, NJ, developing electric motors during and after World War II. In 1950, John, with his wife Angeline, founded CELCO-Constantine Engineering Laboratories Company, a specialty component
company and Mahwah's first light industry, dedicated to the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art products for military and industrial display systems. John actively participated in the operation of CELCO with his wife and
four children and loyal employees over the past 60 years, until suffering a severe stroke in August, 2007 at the age of 92. John's stroke energized the love and strength of his wife Angeline, their entire family and devoted caregivers,
pastors and priests for the next three years as he continued to bring them his wisdom, faith and joy in countless ways. An accomplished pilot, John operated many single and multi-engine aircraft throughout North America in the 1950's,
'60's and '70's in quest of sales for CELCO and to provide personal service to CELCO's customers. John is recognized throughout the world as a leader in advancing the performance of numerous military and commercial display systems.
In 1982, John was elected to the grade of SID FELLOW in the Society of Information Display, "in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the advancement of display technology". In 2002, AAMPAS recognized CELCO with three
Academy Awards for Scientific and Technical Achievements. John Mitchell Constantine, Sr. is survived by Angeline A. Constantine his loving wife of over 72 years and their four children: Michael John of Henderson, NV, Paul John of
West Palm Beach, FL, Elaine John of Miami, FL, and John Mitchell Constantine, Jr. of Miami, FL; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and countless friends around the world. He will be sorely missed. The viewing will be on

Costa, Blaise William "Bill" of New Paltz, former resident of Grand Avenue, Balmville, died Saturday, October 1, 2005 at home with his family. He was born
December 10, 1915 in Newburgh, the son of Anthony D. Costa and Josephine Cannistrace. He was a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. He married Catherine Chrystal on September 7, 1936 and they had celebrated 67 years of marriage when
Catherine died in May of 2003. Mr. Costa is survived by three sons: Anthony Costa and his wife, Andrea, Philip Costa and his wife, Margaret, and Kevin Costa; and a daughter, Sheila Mariello and her husband, Anthony. All are from
New Paltz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Costa of Newburgh; two sisters, Joan Costa of Warwick and Theresa Hubbard of Fishkill; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
a son, David; two brothers, Louis Costa and Angelo Costa; and two sisters, Annunciata Costa and Marie Fern. Mr. Costa was founder and co-owner with his brothers of Costa Beverages, a local soft-drink manufacturing company. He was a

Dyer, John L. 96, a former resident of Fulton, and of Bishop Commons, Oswego, died Thursday,
June 23, 2011 in the Oswego Hospital. Mr. Dyer was born in Newburgh, NY, the son of the late John and Lillian (Gogarty) Dyer. Mr. Dyer, a graduate of Columbia University School of Pharmacy, he owned and operated Dyer's Pharmacy in
Newburgh, NY, for many years before moving to Fulton in 1970, where he was a pharmacist for many local pharmacies including Wayne's in Fulton and Oswego and P&C Markets. Mr. Dyer was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary; he was a
Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Dyer was an usher, lector and Eucharistic minister for many years at Holy Family Church, Fulton. Mr. Dyer was predeceased by his wife, Harriet (Crahan) Dyer, in 1994; and their infant
son, John Dyer. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary and David Roman of Oswego; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Roman; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 8:30 a.m. from the Sugar
& Scanlon Funeral Home and 9 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in All Saints Mausoleum. Calling hours will be Sunday 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home, 147 West Fourth St., Oswego. Contributions may be made in John Dyer's name to

Ferguson, Carolina A. Connolly 98, passed away on March 21, 2014. She was residing at Country Meadows Retirement Community, Hershey, PA, with her sister, Gertrude Brown.
A longtime resident of Cornwall, NY, Carolina was born October 7, 1915, in Newburgh; the daughter of Charles H. and Helen Turner Ferguson. She attended Newburgh City Schools and Newburgh Free Academy, and in 1940 married Vincent J Connolly of
Cornwall, NY, an editorial staff writer for The Newburgh Evening News. Mrs. Connolly is survived by her daughter, Carole (Richard) Odgers of Cudjoe Key, FL; her son, Michael (Mary Ann) Connolly of Englewood, FL; granddaughter, Erin
(Mark) Rapp of Hershey, PA; grandson, Sean Connolly of Englewood, FL; and great granddaughters, Reganne and Alexandra Rapp of Hershey, PA. There will be a graveside remembrance service at 11 a.m. Saturday June 21 at Woodlawn Cemetery

in St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh Campus. She was 93 years old. Daughter of the late Francis and Louise Darthez Flannery, she was born March 9, 1916 in Newburgh. Rosalie graduated from Newburgh Free Academy, (Listed in Camera Shy
1933) St. Luke's Nursing School, Syracuse University and Columbia University in the City of New York. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Newburgh. Rosalie proudly served her country in the United States Navy and was
honorably discharged as a Lieutenant. Rosalie was an eternal optimist. She loved spending time with family and friends, following the New York Mets, listening to the news on her transistor radio and talking politics. We all have fond memories
we cherish of time spent with Rosalie whether at Lavallette, New Jersey, the Thousand Islands, Carter Street or wherever we were together.Rosalie will be deeply missed by her sister, Madelyn and the rest of her family. She is survived

Hardick, Doris Nelson of Newburgh, NY entered into rest on Friday, September 6,
2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was 96. The daughter of the late Emerson and Mae Hardick, she was born in Newburgh on September 23, 1916 in the era of the Greatest Generation. Doris was a loving wife, a proud and wonderful
mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a 50 year resident of Cornwall-on-Hudson and a graduate of Newburgh Free Academy. She was a Trust Officer of the former Columbus Trust Co. for 20 years. As a member of the
Cornwall Presbyterian Church, Doris was their first woman elder and, along with her husband, was a member of the Church's Bell Choir. She loved golf and was an active member of the Storm King Golf Club. Doris was a musician's wife and she
loved all music, especially her husband Ray's. She woke up each day singing. She was a beautiful lady and was loved by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her beloved daughters: Joyce Kuhar, who with her husband, Charles cared for
Doris the last years of her long life; and Janet (John) Harrington of Accord, NY; her two adored granddaughters, Amy (Tim) Reynolds of Cornwall and Laura (Scott) Greene of Carpinteria, CA; and two cherished great-grandchildren, Jack
and Lily Reynolds. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Raymond Nelson, and both of her cherished sons, Raymond and Richard Nelson. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10th at James F.

Jones, Helen M. 96, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Apopka, Fla. She was born in Newburgh, N.Y. and had resided in Albany since 1959. Helen was assistant director of Community
Nursing and Home Health Agencies for NYS Department of Health. She was a member of the Adirondack Mountain Club, Nature's Conservancy and the Visiting Nurses Association of Albany. She was also a member of the Vanguard of the Albany
Symphony and of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Helen was predeceased by a sister, Elsie Chapin; brothers, John R. Jones, Richard N. Jones and Charles R. Jones. There will be no service at Helen's request.

MacMillan, William T. "Bill" 93, of Largo, FL, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Palm Garden of
Pinellas, Largo, FL. He moved to Florida in 1985 from his native Newburgh, NY, where he was the owner and manager of MacMillan Industry, Inc. Bill was Catholic and an Army Veteran of World War II. (Per NFA list Bill graduated in June of
1933). He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Gertrude; a daughter, Susan McComas; two sons, James and William MacMillan; a niece, Nancy Dittbrenner; ten grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. There will
