Baynes, Alexzenia Louise Williams departed from this life on Wednesday,
May 30, 2007 at the St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital after a long illness
and entered into eternity to be with the Lord. Zena was born on June 19,
1962 in Newburgh, to Harold and Eleanor Baynes. She was the first
daughter born of six children. She was educated in the Newburgh School
District and graduated from NFA class of 1980. She continued her
education at Orange Community College. While attending OCCC, she worked
for IBM. Zena left Newburgh in 1985. She was married to Stanley Lee
Williams, in union she had three children: Stanley Levar Williams,
Steven Lamar Williams, Samara Lynn Williams. As a young lady growing up
in Newburgh, she worked with children in the Head Start Program. Zena
had a love for children. She also had a love for bingo, pokeno, and
shopping on QVC, HSN and the Food TV Network, Zena enjoyed most of all,
Joel Olsteen every Sunday morning. Zena was a kind and loving mother,
daughter, sister, aunt and friend. And she will be dearly missed. She
leaves to cherish her memories with parents, Harold "Pee Wee" and
Eleanor Baynes of Newburgh; her husband, Stanley L. Williams of
Newburgh; two sons, Stanley L. Williams of Newburgh, and Steven L.
Williams of Manassas, Va.; one daughter "her princess", Samara L.
Williams of Newburgh; four brothers: Harold A. Baynes and Jeanette
Grimsley of Newburgh, Andre K. Baynes and Malissa M. Baynes (who she
called her favorite sister-in-law) of Newburgh, William C. Baynes and
Brenda Robinson of Newburgh, Kevin K. Baynes of Schenectady, N.Y., and a
loving sister, Kathleen M. Baynes (who took very special care of her
along with her daughter, Tyleia A. Howard), and James Cromitie of
Newburgh. She also has three sisters:, Darvi Baynes of the Bronx, N.Y.,
Ceclia Ann Baynes of Highland Falls, and Rachel Baynes of Newburgh. A
special nephew raised like her own, Kevin A. Baynes and wife, LaShanna
Baynes of Newburgh. A favorite cousin, Dean Alden and Sonya Baynes of
Mitchelville, Md.; one uncle, William Hampton of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; two
aunts, Rosalle Vaughn of Chesapeake, Va., and Sadie and Fred Aragon of
Chesterfield, Va.; one great-aunt, Alexzania Williams of Newburgh (whom
she was named after). And her oldest living cousin Virginia "Doote"
Bullock. A very special friend, Robin Holland of Newburgh. And a host of
cousins, nieces, nephews, god-children and friends. She was predeceased
by her maternal grandparents, William and Rose Every; and her paternal
grandparents, Curlin and Mary M. Baynes; a daughter, Samara L. William
(who was a twin of Steven L. Williams). Visitation will be on Tuesday,
June 5, 2007 at 12 to 6 p.m. at House of Refuge, 131 Broadway, Newburgh.
Services will follow at 6 p.m. in the church. Elder Jeffrey Woody will
officiate. Burial will be at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 in Cedar
Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Brutus W. Hodge Funeral Home.


Bensler,
Richard Allen Jr. age 41, passed away at his home in Concord, N.C. Born
August 4, 1962 in Indianapolis, Indiana, he was the son of Richard A.
Bensler Sr. and Jane L. Bensler of Concord, N.C. Mr. Bensler was a
graduate of NFA, Orange Community College and Damon College in Buffalo.
Mr. Bensler was the owner and operator of Mail-n-Things in Charlotte,
N.C. and Harrisburg, N.C. Survivors in addition to his parents are a
sister, Holly Royston of New Iberia, La.; a brother, Timothy A. Bensler
and his wife, Janet, of Concord; and three nephews, Steven, Jacob and
Nicholas Bensler. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be
made to St. James Catholic Church Building Fund, 251 N. Union St.,
Concord, N.C. 28025. Wilkinson Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements for the Bensler family.




Cimorelli, William - Bill was murdered in Florida July 1989. Bill
was in some of my classes in Temple Hill School and I remember him to be a
very funny and like-able person. He was friends with Teddy Marsden and Lee

Flannery, Mark C. a self-employed mason and longtime Newburgh resident,
died Saturday, July 28, 2007 in Little Falls Hospital. He was 45. The son
of John and Mary Jane Beers Flannery, he was born January 24, 1962 in
Newburgh, N.Y. In addition to his parents of Newburgh, survivors include
his wife, Erin Lawler Flannery, at home; daughter, Gillian Flannery, at
home; brothers, Michael Flannery, Timothy Flannery, J. Dennis Flannery and
his wife, Robyn, and Jerome Flannery; sisters, Patricia Shubert and Karen
Ward and her husband, Brian; six nieces and nephews, and two great nieces.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, at the White & Venuto
Funeral Home, 188 North Plank Rd (Rt 32), Newburgh, N.Y., from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, in
St. Mary's Church, South St., Newburgh, N.Y., with Father William Scafidi
officiating. Cremation will follow in Cedar Hill Crematory. In lieu of
flowers, kindly make donations to a charity of one's choice.
Gardner,
Edward A. III son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Pauline Gardner Sr., who
predeceased him, formerly of New Windsor, passed away on Wednesday,
November 19,2008 after a short illness. He is survived by his sisters
Sharon, Kathy, Paula and his brother Keith. He is also survived by nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. A private service was
held at David Ferguson Funeral Home in Washingtonville, NY. Interment was
at Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor. He will be missed but most

Grevas, Stephen R. passed away on January 16th, 2006 in the Critical Care
Unit of Waterbury Medical Center (CT). He was born in Newburgh, NY on July
16th, 1962. A long time resident of New Windsor, he left three sons, Kade,
Nicholas and Christopher. He worked as a surveyor and survey drafting
technician first for his father with Grevas and Hildreth, PC and then for
C.H. Sells, Westchester County, NY. He was predeceased by his father Elias
D. Grevas, (1954) and is survived by his mother, Brenda Faith (Marsden)
(1955) and siblings, James (1974), Mark (1975) and Jennifer (1978) and an
estranged wife Liza. We will always miss the quick smile of our brother
and see the same flash of mischief he had in his sons eyes.


McCurry,
Dawn Marie Pryor age 46, of Largo, Florida, originally of Newburgh, NY,
was called home on November 5, 2008, where she will be met by her loving
grandparents, Dominic and Caroline Cortiglia and special aunt, Bernice
Stellitano. Dawn loved life and lived it to the fullest everyday, she was
the most loving daughter, wife, mother, nana, sister and aunt her family
could ask for. She will be greatly missed by all who were honored to know
her. Dawn is survived by her parents, Charles (Zeke) and Elaine McCurry of
Ruskin, FL; her husband of ten years, Edward Pryor IV of Largo, FL; her
daughter, Nichole DiDonato and her fiancé, Michael Fox; her grandson, Ian
Fox, who was the light of Dawn's eye of Largo, FL; two older brothers,
Douglas McCurry of Largo, FL and Darren McCurry and his wife, Michele of
Newburgh, NY; nieces, Alexis and Haley McCurry of Largo, FL and nephews,
Christopher and Kyle McCurry of Newburgh, NY, as well as many aunts,
uncles, cousins and close friends. A memorial service was held in Largo,
FL on Saturday, 8 November 2008. Graveside services will be held in
Newburgh in June of 2009. 



Murphy,
Karen - My sister from the class of 1980 passed away Dec 21, 2006 after a
life of difficulty with a congenital heart defect. Karen was waiting for a
new heart that never came. I miss her everyday.

Pendino, Dominick died March 3, 1999, Newburgh NY after being beaten by 2
men in his drive-way, who were eventually convicted of his murder although
his body was never found. Dominick was born May 22, 1962 to Mary Ponessa
Pendino and Alfred Pendino. He was a 1980 graduate of Newburgh Free
Academy. In addition to his parents survivors include his wife Cynthia,
two sons Sage and Dominick who was born after his death in May 1999, his
sister Julieann and brother Michael.
Penfield, Kenneth J. III a resident of Kennesaw, GA, entered eternal rest
Thursday, April 10, 2014 at his residence. He was 51 years old. Kenneth
was born May 27, 1962 in Newburgh, NY. He was the son of Kenneth J.
Penfield Jr. and Dr. Mildred A. Penfield. Kenneth was a graduate of
Newburgh Free Academy and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA. He was an
accomplished licensed Mortgage Banker who served the Pittsburgh and
Woodstock, Ga. areas. In addition to his parents he is survived by a
sister Donna M. Penfield-Eugene and brother Marcel Shane Penfield, nephews
and a niece. Memorial services will be held 11am Saturday, May 3, at St
George's Episcopal Church 105 Grand street Newburgh, NY. Inurement will be

Perna, Eric J. "Ricky" of New Windsor, N.Y. a lifetime area resident,
entered into rest Friday, August 15, 2003 in New Windsor. He was 40. Erick
was the son of Richard T. Perna of Mobile, Alabama and Marion Perna of New
Windsor, he was born August 19, 1962 in Newburgh. Ricky was employed by
Jim Moroney's, Inc. in New Windsor, and was a member of HOGS, Harley
Owners Group. A loving and devoted husband and father, he leaves behind
his wife, Cathleen Corcoran Perna; and their three daughters, Vianna
Christina, Natalia Marie and Adrianna Leann, at home; his mother, Marion
Perna and her husband, Salvatore Loguidice; his father, Richard T. Perna;
and aunt and uncle, Patricia and George Ponessa of Newburgh. Family will
receive their friends on Sunday, August 17 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the
Brooks-DiDonato Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of
Christian burial will be held at on Monday, August 18 at 11 a.m. at Sacred

Riccardi, Jill McKay - Jill my beautiful wife and mother
to Shala and Jarin passed away from lung cancer July 30,2009 at 47. Her
care free outlook on life and kind soul touched so many. She is greatly

Smith, Charles Lee (AKA Freeze) entered into eternal rest Sunday,
September 2 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY. He was 50
years old. Charles was born July 11,1962 in Newburgh, NY, son of the late
Oscar Smith and Bertha Grant Smith. He attended Newburgh Free Academy from
1977-1979. Charles was employed by Montrose New York Packaging Corp and
Woodbury Commons through ManPower agency. Left to cherish his memory are
his twins, Markus and Trishon McAllister of Newburgh; sisters: Barbara
Johna, Rosalind Grey and husband, Windell, Dorothy McKoy and husband,
Thermun, all of Newburgh, NY; brother, Frederick Grant of Mount Olive, NC,
uncle, Eartha Grant and aunt, Fairlene Grant of Newburgh, NY and aunt,

Vitolo, Maria of Wallkill, entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 6,
2007 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 44. Daughter of
Reziero and Luisa Vitolo, she was born April 12, 1962 in Sarno, Italy.
"Maria's sense of humor and her love for her family and friends will be
sadly missed by all. Maria, you are and will always be the cutest." She
graduated from Newburgh Free Academy and received her Associates Degree in
Computer Science from Ridley Lowell. She worked at Vesuvio's Restaurant in
Newburgh and was also a Computer Technician at IBM. In addition to her
parents, she is survived by her son, Donald L. Babcock III; sisters,
Gaetana Dascoli of Arizona and Carmela Vitolo of Wallkill; brother,
Anthony Vitolo of Highland; nieces and nephews: Anthony Vitolo of Florida,
Joseph Vitolo of Highland, Vito and Michael Dascoli of Arizona, Gabriela
and Giovanna Gelsomine of Wallkill. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and
6-8 p.m. on Monday, April 9, and Tuesday, April 10, at Brooks Funeral
Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
