Submitted by Fran Olson Gustafson 1965 <fgustafson917@gmail.com> on 10/Dec/2025 71.223.143.162

Anne Dorazio Muscarella, 95, a resident of Los Altos, CA, passed away at Stanford Medical Center on December 1, 2025. Anne was born on February 7, 1930, in Newburgh, NY to Frank Dorazio and Francis (Trifilo) Dorazio and graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1947. She married the love of her life, Lenin Muscarella, on November 12, 1950, at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. Together they raised three children Leni, Wanda, and Tom. From birth Anne continued to reside in Newburgh until her move to California in 2018.
Anne retired from IBM in February 1990, where she worked for 25 years in manufacturing and witnessed firsthand the arrival of IBM's first personal computer in 1981. Anne was devoted to her family first and lived a life defined by generosity, kindness, and service. She adored cooking for loved ones, and everyone in her life had a favorite "Anne dish" that kept her joyfully busy in the kitchen. She volunteered at the Cornwall Hospital gift shop, at Sacred Heart Church festivals, and proudly served as an elections poll worker for many years, a role she cherished as a strong advocate for democracy.
Anne is survived by her sister, Nancy Vincent; her son Tom, his wife Debbie and their daughters Lucy and Abby Muscarella; her daughter Wanda, her husband Bruce, and their children Gregory Smith and Allison Butler; and Leni's wife Sally Muscarella, and their daughters Anne and Nicole Muscarella. She has four great-grandchildren, Larkin, Gus, Charlie, and Maeve, and two more on the way. Anne was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lenin; her son, Leni; her sister, Carmela "Millie" Johnson; and her brother, Sylvester Dorazio.
Anne's immediate family extends from coast to coast but many had traveled to California to celebrate Thanksgiving together and so all were blessed to gather with her just days before her passing.
